Is climbing outdoors around Zurich possible in the evenings ???

Hi all, I'm new in Zurich, looking for a climbing partner and wondering if there is any crag around here not too far from Zurich city which could be an after-work target.
Any suggestions?
I climb easy stuff... 5b/5c leading, 6a/6b toprope

Maybe you already guessed that there isn't really anything crag-like around Zürich by the lack of answers to your request.

If plastic is fine then it's easier. There are a few gyms around that feature outdoor walls. Gaswerk has quite a few routes and a small boulder area. Milandia has very little routes but a big boulder area (still only talking outdoors).
As far as I know Griffig can open a large door/gate to get a partial outdoor feeling on some routes.
Altough actually completely indoors Blockfeld in Winterthur has some real trees and does not heat in wintertimes (i.e. it feels at least as cold as outdoors). Same goes for Minimum just without the trees. Grindelboulder is also a complete indoors boulder gym which is quite nice and probably the biggest so shouldn't go unnoticed.
Then there are three, or four boulder spots in Zürich. But they are artificial as well but free of charge (altough some are technically just for students to my knowledge no one really cares about that). To get to know them as well as some climbers) it's probably easiest if you join the Transa Boulder-Treff (i.e. meeting). https://www.transa.ch/erleben/raus-aber-richtig/bouldertreff

Back to your original question there are rumours (and even a topo/guide) about some apparently extremely unspectacular routes on the Üetliberg.

In other words for real crags you need to travel out of the canton of Zürich. Depending on your means of travel some of the following should be in reach within about an hour.

- Galerie and some others in Weesen and around the Walensee
- Eppenberg, Roggenhuser Steinbruch and I maybe one more next to Aarau.
- Albbruck a few minutes after the border to germany.

There might be more but those are the ones I know. If you're willing to drive 90 minutes and more then there is plenty. For multipitches with more than three pitches that's the minimal driving time. Boulder spots are probably even farther away.
